Specifications

Please use the following settings when creating offline editorial proxies for Resolve. The goal is consistent, smooth playback with the correct framing, sound, metadata, and supporting materials included from the outset.

Open Gate / Framing

Maintain the full open-gate sensor image. For anamorphic footage, please desqueeze the proxy to the correct viewing ratio.

Colour

Please keep the proxy image in log with no LUT burned in, and include the agreed LUT separately on the drive.

Proxy Image
Please do not burn in the show LUT. Deliver the proxy in log so the image stays flexible.
LUT Supply
Include the agreed show LUT separately on the drive as a .cube file.

Audio

Audio should be editorial-ready and embedded directly into the proxy files.

Preserve original clip identity so turnover, conform, and relinking stay reliable.

Reports & Drive Contents

Please include these supporting materials with the handoff.

Include DIT reports on the drive.
Include frame leader and chart where captured.
Supply original location sound files and sound reports with the media handoff.
Include the agreed LUT as a .cube file on the drive.
